There was a time, when all I wanted to do was be on a stage and tell kids about Jesus. In fact, my husband and I did just that for years of our life–as special-guest speakers at camps and churches and as Children’s Pastors in multiple churches. Then, I had a baby. My life changed, my heart chagned, my desires changed and I began to pour all I knew of ministry and God into parenting.
I started blogging about my experiences back in the day when Mommy Blogs ruled the internet. Soon, I compiled all my fun Christmas activities into this book called, Truth in the Tinsel. It’s been around the world and is in the hands of more than 50,000 families!
Now, as the mom of two teenagers (one graduated from High School!), I parent less with crafts and picture books and more with conversations and prayer. But I can’t help but have my heart soar when I see a new mama looking for resources to lead her kids to Jesus. (Or a mama new to leading her kids to Jesus!!)
In my off-line life, I’m involved in a widow’s ministry, local worship gatherings, my favorite summer camp as a counselor and lots of driving to and fro for my son’s sports.
If I could tell you one thing it would be to dazzle your kids with God’s love. He loves you because He loves you because He loves you. And He loves your kids even more than you do. Just show that love to them!
